Explanation of the Cyber-Stone “Internet grave”

The Cyber-Stone ”Internet grave” is a database model grave in Sugamo Heiwa(Peace) graveyard of Ryugensan Kudokuin Temple, Tokyo branch.
Carved on the “graves” are the person’s posthumous Buddhist name, and the date of their death.
In addition to this data, the Cyber-Stone keeps on record a portrait of a deceased.
This data can be viewed at any time on our personal computers, therefore allowing us to pay our respects at any time. This method is in addition to burying our loved ones the old- fashioned way.

The merits of the Cyber-Stone “Internet grave”

It is open to people of all faiths---Buddhists, Christians, Shintoists, etc.
You can keep your secular name, posthumous Buddhist name, portrait and other data as digital data forever.
Having a successor isn’t necessary.

---At 10:30 on the 8th day of every month, we hold a memorial service for ancestors together according to our ritual.

There is no additional cost for maintenance like a service charge.

---The cost includes periodic cleaning and other maintenance.

350,000yen (includes the fee of placing the ashes of the deceased in the grave)
You don’t need to pay an extra annual maintenance cost.
You don’t need to worry about your successors.

How to apply the Cyber-Stone

Please contact us by telephone or by using the inquiry form on the internet.
You can visit our graveyard. Please let us know the date you intend to visit.
Our staff will give you further information and a detailed explanation.
The customers have the freedom to choose their own designs regarding the posthumous Buddhist name, secular name and portrait. If you have the ashes of the deceased person, we will decide the date to place them in the grave.
(If you prefer your original design, let us know. Arrangements can be made on a case by case basis.)
When everything is settled, we will give you an ID card, which is used to visit the grave.
